Open days at Ambush Wargames offer a variety of games scenarios for players of all levels.

This variety is matched by the players too, young and old, male and female, airsoft teams and mates out for a good days fun in the fresh air all mix in our friendly safezone. Regular players are always happy to help out those trying airsoft for the first time and there is always an impressive array of equipment they are only too happy to show off and tell you all about!

The walk on fee, for players with their own equipment, is £20 including a free lunch.

Rental packages start from just £35 but must be booked in advance.

Play starts at 10am, so be on site by 9.30. We usually finish at around 4.30pm.

Hot and cold drinks and snacks are available all day, and there is a choice of hot food for each player's free lunch.

All players under the age of 18 must wear full face protection, masks are available to rent on site.

The scenarios

Open days usually start with a couple of short 'warm up' games so players can ensure they and their equipment are ready for action before we venture out into the woods.

Various games types will be played over the course of the day, from straight assault missions, to longer, multiple-objective games where player are resurrected back into play. These games last up to an hour and tactics and teamwork will be as important as firepower if you want to win.

Players may be split off from their main team to perform recce patrols, or perhaps you will need to sweep an area and stealthily remove the other team from the dense ferns and rhododendrons of the Badlands area.

The tower, surrounded by barricades, ditches and bunkers will take daring, teamwork and cunning to get into. Pilot rescues, point assault /defense, and area infiltration missions are just some of the other game types we will challenge you with.
